People have probably been wondering what we are on about when we mess up during our radio show and blame it all on the techy stuff we are using. Thus I though I’d share with you some pictures of the setup we (or rather I) use when streaming. Maybe these pictures help to explain all the oddness on the stream and maybe persuade you to pardon us for the cock-ups (click on images to get more info):
What a show tonight! Made a few changes to the show and seems that they payed of as I haven’t had this much fun making the show in a while (if ever)!
The big news although was that we are back in business with the video stream! I spent a good while searching for a HD webcam that would work also on Mac. Not a easy task that. But I managed to find a webcam that filled the requirements. But as stated in the show, I didn’t only buy one webcam, I bought a pair, so that M-za and Stinks could also join the video age in the dubstep shows! Because they don’t make these webcams in Concussion orange, I had to take the closest one to that. And look what a beauty I picked:
Pretty in pink, eh? I’m sure M-za and Stinks will be delighted with this new masculine addition to their radio show gear!
Also something to note: This time was the second time someone took part in guessing the Breaks Classic! Big thanks to Joni (and Daniel although he’s guess wasn’t all that spot on). Anyway what a great show! Don’t believe? Check it out below:

Stinks & I (M-za) made a mixtape for Finnish web magazine KEHTO’s mixtape series “KEHTOblaster Sessions”. I strongly recommend you to check this one out.
Because the article is in Finnish here’s a short English summary about the mix:
Style of the mix was clear to us from the very beginning. We wanted to do a cross genre/style mix which still contains the primitive rhythms and bass frequencies that have always attracted us in dubstep. The mix is a kind of our vision of where bass music is heading in 2011 so all the tracks are also quite new, except a few tracks that have been ahead of their time.

Was browsing Digital Tunes today, and bumped into a nice new release from the man behind our radio show intro: Beddis. This release named ‘Love EP’ is Beddis’ second release on Transformative and features three nice rolling dnb tracks, which are titled ‘I Love You’, ‘Wistful Notes’ and ‘Mellow Player’. The first track was a new one to me, and as such quite a pleasant surprise! The track has a nice laid back atmosphere topped with the Beddis trademark drum programming. The drums must be the main reason why I like this guys production so much – Crispy and rolling with a lot of nice little fills and tricks. The other tracks I got from Beddis already quite a while ago, but haven’t still yet got bored of them. I Especially like ‘Mellow Player’, which I have tried to fit into my sets quite a few times, but as it is quite an unique track, have had trouble doing so. Anyway, you should definitely check out the tracks from e.g. Digital Tunes.

What better way to start a Tuesday than with a brand spanking new Monday Mix from yours truly, the Concussion Crew! Was supposed to submit this post already yesterday, but I bumped into a problem I usually tend to bump into with mixtapes – the name of the set. Anyway… got that sorted and as a result here’s my new mix: elysion – Heat Wave.
As you can tell from the “cover art” on the right, the set features a nice collection of summery tracks – some brand new, some a bit older. Tried not to let the release date interfere too much, but rather just pick quality tracks that blend in well with each other creating a nice brisk atmosphere.
You’ve probably noticed that sometimes it takes some time before we get the radio shows uploaded to our podcasts. Recently I have been thinking of how to make this time shorter and make sure that all the shows do end up in the archive. After a few tricks here and there, I was able to upload the show aired today within one hour from the shows end, which is probably the fastest I’ve ever been able to do that! Concussion Topping the Charts
It’s been about a week since my last post “Late Monday Mix“, where I shared my newest mix with all you. After posting the set here, I also posted it to a few other places, one being one of the most renowned EDM forums in Finland: Klubitus. Since then the set has received some nice attention and got quite a few downloads also there and thus is currently at the top of the Charts!
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for downloading and (hopefully) listening the set! Hope that you have liked the set and will listen to it more than once.
